Spring at the Prairie

Last fall when Sam and I visited Nine Mile Prairie we found some black walnuts that I thought would look nice in an arrangement.  Monday of this week, Pam and I went to the Prairie but we didn't go all the way to where the walnuts were, so yesterday I decided to go again.  It was quite a long walk to where the walnuts were but as usual it was fun.  I heard and saw so many things.  I scared some turkeys and got a shot, sort of, of one of them flying away.  I heard Meadowlarks but never saw them.  I did see some blue birds, but they were far away.  There were some butterflies, bumblebees, and even a couple of dragonflies, or at least I think they were dragonflies.  And then there were the flowers and weeds and the beautiful clouds in the sky.  I love Nine Mile Prairie!

 The turkey that I scared.

I'm pretty sure the following photos are of Harris' Sparrows.
