Kris and I picked up Pam in Beatrice and went to visit Crystal Springs. We were actually going to go to Squaw Creek, but it was raining here and moving towards the southeast, so we decided to check out Crystal Springs instead. When we arrived it was still raining, but it quit soon and we even had a bit of sun. I didn't discover that I had my polarizing filter on until the very end, oh well, it was a fun outing anyway.
This juvenile Eagle stayed for the longest time on this branch. We were able to photograph him in rain and then when the sun started to break through he flew away.
Osprey
The Great Blue Herons let us get pretty close to them. I think the second guy is doing his morning calisthenics.
Green Heron, quite a bit smaller than the Great Blue
This Great Blue Heron was way up in a tree. We stopped to take his photo and he decided to fly away, that was a special treat.
