Bald Eagles at Squaw Creek

On the way down to KC to spend Christmas with Jack & Mary Jo and family, we stopped at Squaw Creek to see what was happening.  Not much water, but lots of Eagles who were mostly hanging out near the Mallards and Swans.  The first couple of photos are kinda gory.  The Bald Eagle found a duck and was enjoying dinner.

These eagles were watching the group below.

Stockings & Reindeer

My friend Sara found some stockings at Nell Hills, showed me a photo and asked if I could make some.  Here's what I came up with.  When I finish mine, I'll post photos of mine and Sam's.

This one if for baby Carey, who is on her(?) way.

This is Sara's.  The buttons are actually jingle bells and the white fuzzy fabric is the leftover fabric from the cape I made her for Erica's wedding.  (The other white ones are the leftover fabric from Erica's cape.)

Now these are for Jack.  Fat Tire Reindeer!

Sunday's Sunset

Sam and I took Emily, one of the interns, to Nine Mile Prairie to show her how beautiful the sunsets can be.  She just bought a new camera and wanted to try it out.  Here is what we saw.

Peter Peterson Farmstead

Sam and I went for a ride in the country hoping to find this barn.  It is on the National Registry of Historic Places but is privately owned so the address is not listed.  Thankfully Google Earth had an image and we went to that location and sure enough Google Earth was accurate!

The sun kinda came and went.

My Flowers are Happy!

I wouldn't have thought that on October 21st I'd be taking photos of happy flowers, but Sam was walking up the sidewalk to the front door and noticed the orange flowers and suggested that I take some photos of them.

Sunday Afternoon Walk

Sam and I went to Pioneer Park to walk around and then went to Holmes Lake as well.  It was a beautiful afternoon!
