I am ready for spring and the opportunity to photograph birds and flowers. So far my suet bird feeder is not doing the trick attracting birds to my backyard so when the snow started falling yesterday afternoon I decided to go outside with my camera. I like the snowy background in the first fence photo and the little bit of snow on the crab apples (anyway I think they are crab apples).

DTR Day 3
Sharon, Kris, and I went out at sunrise hoping to get frost photos. Instead we saw the Devil's Thumb on fire... well at least that's how it looked.
I obviously love the aspen.
There wasn't a lot of snow this year. I don't remember seeing so much grass and sage popping up through the snow. We met a cross-country skier one day while we were resting at the yurt and he said he had been coming to DTR for 15 years and had never seen so little snow.
DTR Day 2
DTR Day 1
This was my 4th year to visit Devil's Thumb Ranch in the winter with a group of ladies. This was the first year that 9 ladies came on the trip. On our first day we snowshoed on a trail I had never been on before. That was a fun treat!
Kris, Heidi, and I decided that we wanted to visit the barn and the Interpretive Trail while the other ladies went back to the lodge. It was rather overcast, but the willows on the Interpretive Trail were beautiful.
