Good Friday

Visited East Campus the other week with Diane.  There's a variety of trees there and I thought that they might have buds, or blooms.  Not so much, but some of them had pretty bark.

Then I ran over to the Sunken Gardens to see what was happening there.  Not much but I liked the lily pads in the green water.

Winter Projects

A couple winter projects that I'm just now getting around to posting.  Jordan's room has become the main guest room and needed a bit of a facelift.  It's now a cowboy/girl room.

Got the barrel from "R U Nuts".  Made the pillows with fake leather and cowhide and painted the cowboys on canvas.  The blue pillow is made from the left overs from the quilt.

Made the quilt from fabric samples that Judy gave me over the years.  Some of the fabrics are "western" themed.

This was a fun project where I got to use a few of the decorative stitches on my new Bernina.

Princesses

Like most almost 4 year old little girls, Elizabeth loves the Disney Princesses.  So what's an aunt to do when she sees a blog with directions to make Princess headbands---make them of course.

 Tiana

 Ariel

Elsa, out of focus, but I actually made this one without a pattern

 Rapunzel

 Merida

 Mulan

Egrets

On our way home from church we drove by Holmes Lake to see what the rain had done to the water level at the lake.  We were surprised by the sight of 2 Egrets!  Sam suggested that we go home and get my camera, so we did.  I need to re-learn how to photograph birds though.
