DTR Day 3

Sharon, Kris, and I went out at sunrise hoping to get frost photos.  Instead we saw the Devil's Thumb on fire... well at least that's how it looked.

 I obviously love the aspen.

There wasn't a lot of snow this year.  I don't remember seeing so much grass and sage popping up through the snow.  We met a cross-country skier one day while we were resting at the yurt and he said he had been coming to DTR for 15 years and had never seen so little snow.

DTR Day 2

Jenn was feeling the "Photo Mojo".

We woke up on our second day to a beautiful snowfall.  But by the time we had breakfast, did our 14 minutes of stretching, and got ourselves ready the snow had stopped and the sun was shining.

DTR Day 1

This was my 4th year to visit Devil's Thumb Ranch in the winter with a group of ladies.  This was the first year that 9 ladies came on the trip.  On our first day we snowshoed on a trail I had never been on before.  That was a fun treat!

Kris, Heidi, and I decided that we wanted to visit the barn and the Interpretive Trail while the other ladies went back to the lodge.  It was rather overcast, but the willows on the Interpretive Trail were beautiful.
