Paris Photos from my Phone

Views from inside "Treize - a baker's dozen" where we had breakfast on Pam's birthday!

Various street scenes...and Capitaine Superslip :)
This gallery was a block or 2 from our apartment

There was this parade that we sort of became a part of as the tour bus was taking us around Paris.  I think the driver became frustrated with how long this parade had become.  It began with a full marching band, followed by a float, followed by hundreds of protestors.  Not sure there is such a thing as a parade permit in Paris, most drivers became frustrated and the police finally got involved to stop traffic until the parade passed.  It was all very interesting.  At one point one of the protestors got on our bus and handed out flyers!

These next 2 photos are taken from the walking bridge over the Seine.  I walked over to the "Monoprix", the Target of France, on Sunday afternoon to pick up dinner (wine, cheese & bread) and a few food item gifts.

This last photo is the street entrance to our apartment.  Just to the right of the chocolate shop there is a wrought iron gate that gives access to the courtyard that our apartment overlooked.

These last few photos were taken at the Charles de Gaulle Airport.

This is a panoramic photo of this enormous hanging plant sculpture.  There were several of these in the airport.

Paris

On Friday, when Sam & Caitlin headed home, Pam, Bob and I headed to Paris!!!  We arrived at our Airbnb much easier than I had expected.  Our apartment was charming and in a great location and shortly after arriving we headed to Cafe de Flore for dinner.  On Saturday we spent the day hopping on and off of our sightseeing bus.  It was partly cloudy all day long and a bit cool, but riding on the top of the bus gave me a great view of everything.

We had breakfast here, just a block or two from where we stayed.  The place was charming and the cook/owner was from Charleston, SC, AND she makes the best biscuits I've ever eaten!  After breakfast we headed to the Musee d'Orsay to catch our double decker tour bus.  This was such a great way to see Paris!

The next few are street scenes
