On Our Way Home

We left behind the beautiful mountains and wonderful friends early Friday morning.  The sunrise was gorgeous and the scenes breath-taking.

Views of Colorado, Memories of Hong Kong

In Colorado near Montrose, Sam and I got together with some of the people that we worked with in Hong Kong.  What a wonderful time we had!!!  As I was lying in bed one night, I realized that it was 30 years ago this month that I left for Hong Kong--wow!
As always, I am more comfortable with photographing nature, not people, others did that :).

I did get a few shots of Mike since he took me out one morning to show me some of the beauty of the mountains.

Joslyn Art Museum

I love Chihuly's work!  This is just part of his sculpture in the Joslyn.  Then there's the "balloons" in the cafe at the museum.

Omaha Rose Society Garden

Pam and I went to Omaha today to visit the Rose Garden and also to see the Impressionist exhibit at the Joslyn, which by the way was free!  Anyway, as usual I waited too late to get the best photos of the roses, next year I must go in early June!

This is my all time favorite rose, it's called "Dainty Bess".

Bell's Canyon, Utah

I forgot to publish these photos from my last day with Caitlin.  We drove to Sandy, Utah, which is actually just a bit south of Salt Lake City, you can't even tell you're in another city.  We took a left, so we were going east, and in a few minutes we were at the trailhead.

At the foot of the ridge,  you can see the Salt Lake City downtown skyline
