Views of the Swiss Countryside

On the way back to Switzerland from Germany, Sam needed to visit some of the watch companies he works with.  The weather was beautiful and after having breakfast at the Migro (croissants and coffee, yum!) and visiting the factories we enjoyed a wonderful drive through the countryside.

Le Locle

Way back in June when Sam and I went to Switzerland and Germany, we passed through Le Locle.  Though we lived fairly close to Le Locle when we were in Switzerland, I had never been there, at least I had never seen the city hall.  The building looked German in its' design even though Le Locle is in the French area of Switzerland.

Petit Cortaillod & Family Reunion

On Saturday we had several things to do, find absinthe for Caitlin (they were having a fair in the area), visit the beach at Cortaillod (the kids and I spent several sweet afternoons there), go to Andre's for a "cousins reunion, and have dinner with Dake, Luanna, and Angela.  It was all wonderful!!!

I don't remember seeing swans on the lake before.  They were beautiful.

As you can see, I didn't take pictures of people :(.  These were some of Anne Laure's flowers that I thought were lovely.

Cheese Toast in Switzerland

Sam and I arrived in Switzerland last Friday and that evening his brother, Daniel, and sister, Aline, took us to a restaurant way out in the countryside for cheese toast.  It was beautiful.

The restaurant outside and inside.

I didn't know there were bunkers in Switzerland!

Way in the distance you can see the Lac de Neuchatel.
This is the view looking the opposite way from the lake.
