I couldn't believe it when the phone rang at 10:20 last night and it was the automated system again telling me there would be no school on Tuesday. Although it is very cold, it is a beautiful day here and our street has even been plowed, so I'm a little baffled as to why we're not in school...oh well, guess I'll just enjoy the day =).
First House Finch I've seen this winter
Saw this Flicker, also the first I've seen this winter, up in the tree with his friend, Mr. Woodpecker, in the background. Eventually they both came to the suet feeder.
