We spent the day Tuesday visiting Paducah. It was so incredibly hot here that we decided to walk around the old town in the morning when it was cooler and then go to the museum in the afternoon when it was really hot. Well, we only lasted until around 10am (the temps were already in the 90's)! We visited the National Quilt Museum then had lunch in an art gallery/Mexican food restaurant.
This photo shows the convergence of the Ohio and the Tennessee Rivers. The Ohio River is very wide. The dot on the horizon in the water is a huge barge.
This photo shows some of the murals that were painted on the flood wall. Each panel depicts an event from Paducah's history.
